Banteay Chhmar tour

After breakfast in the morning, we will take you to explore through Siem Reap city and Banteay Meanchey province. Then we will see villages on the roadside to temples. This temple is very far from Siem Reap city around 165 kilometres and it is located 65 km north of Sisophon and about 20 km east of the Thai border. Banteay Chhmar is one of the most important temples in Cambodia and least understood temples from the Angkorian era. This temple was built by the Khmer king Jayavarman VII in the second half of the 12th-13th century, in the same Bayon temple style. King built this temple dedicated to his son ( Srindrakumara) and it is one of Cambodia’s national treasures in
Archeological park as well as. Move to Banteay Torp temple, it is a fascinating and interesting temple site. It was built during the same time of Banteay Chhmar temple. The meaning of this temple name (Fortress of the Army) and it is believed to have been built as a tribute to the Khmer army leading to Khmer control of the region. It is located about 12 km south of Banteay Chhmar temple.
